About Me

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an interest in understanding what makes people tick. What is it that they want, and what is their motivation for wanting it? This curiosity, along with my creative nature, influenced my decision to major in marketing as a college undergrad. Although I expected to graduate and join an agency or in-house marketing team, life had other plans.

I spent the first part of my career as an IT project management consultant, where I supported both customer and internal projects. I was drawn to this work because of the exposure to different businesses, cultures, and environments. Each project had its own set of considerations and problems to solve. In this role, I adopted a client-focused mindset and learned organization, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.

After a few years, I wanted to engage more of my creative side and get back to my roots in marketing. My next role focused on analyzing marketing data, which included tracking campaigns and measuring their impact to the business. In this role, I also performed competitive analyses and got my first exposure to A/B testing.

Like many others in 2020, I was faced with a big decision about the next step in my career. My previous roles cultivated a deep interest in data and analysis, so I decided to go back to school. I pursued a master’s degree in Data Marketing Communications while working as a project manager for a medical communications company. I was first introduced to UX design as part of my coursework, and instantly knew that I wanted to learn more about it and possibly pursue it as a career.

I enrolled in CareerFoundry’s UX design program and developed a fondness for UX design, especially UX research and analysis. I’m looking forward to what the future holds, especially when it comes to applying my newfound user research skills.

My Hobbies

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, making art, exploring parks and museums, observing the night sky, and obsessing over my two rescue cats.

Giving back to my community by putting my passions and skills to good use is important to me. I am currently volunteering to preserve and share local New Jersey history at the Atlantic County Historical Society, where I also serve on the Board of Trustees.
